Day 1 — IMG Worlds of Adventure

  1. 12:00pm (park opens at noon)

    IMG Worlds of Adventure

One of the world's largest fully indoor theme parks — air-conditioned throughout, so the time of day and season do not matter. Marvel and Cartoon Network zones are the highlights for children aged 5–14. Book tickets online in advance to avoid gate queues. Plan a full afternoon and evening here.

  2. 7:00pm

Dinner at IMG Worlds food court

Multiple dining options spread across the park. Leave by 9pm to avoid the closing rush, especially with young children.

Day 2 — Desert Safari

  1. 9:00am–2:00pm

    Free morning (pool or hotel)

Desert safari pickups happen in the afternoon, so use the morning for a hotel pool day or light hotel-area exploration. Avoid anything that runs long — you need to be back at the hotel for the 3:30pm pickup.

  2. 4x4 vehicles dune bashing in the Dubai desert

Photo by Alina Grubnyak on Unsplash

    3:30pm (pickup from hotel)

Desert safari — dune bashing & camel ride

Book directly with a licensed operator: Platinum Heritage, Arabian Adventures, or Rayna Tours. Do NOT book through the hotel concierge — they mark it up 3–4×. Pickup from hotel at 3:30–4pm. Dune bashing by 4x4 is the first stop, followed by a camel ride and sandboarding at the dunes. Heat-aware note: the desert in summer is extremely hot until about 5pm — dune bashing keeps you inside the vehicle.

  3. Camels resting on the desert sand near a Bedouin camp

    6:30pm

Desert camp — henna, falconry display & BBQ dinner

Traditional Bedouin-style camp evening: henna painting, a short falconry demonstration, tanoura dance performance, and a BBQ buffet dinner under the stars. Children enjoy the whole sequence. Transfer back to hotel arrives around 9:30–10pm.

Day 3 — Old Dubai + Dubai Mall

  1. A trader amid the stalls of a Deira souk

Photo by Chermiti Mohamed on Unsplash

    8:30am (1 hr) Must visit

Gold Souk & Spice Souk, Deira

Early morning is the right call with children — manageable heat and fewer crowds. The sheer volume of gold in the Gold Souk is genuinely impressive for any age. Keep it to an hour to hold young energy in reserve.

  2. An abra boat crossing Dubai Creek

Photo by Raimond Klavins on Unsplash

    9:30am (10 min) Must visit

    Abra creek crossing

AED 1 per person. Children enjoy the wooden boat ride across the creek. The crossing takes about 10 minutes.

  3. A narrow lane in Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, Dubai

Photo by Anjana Nair on Unsplash

    10:00am (1.5 hrs) Must visit

    Al Fahidi & Dubai Museum

The Dubai Museum inside Al Fahidi Fort is affordable (AED 3 adults, AED 1 children) and approachable for families — exhibits trace Dubai from fishing village to metropolis. Well-suited for children aged 8 and up.

  4. 12:00pm

    Lunch near Dubai Mall

Dubai Mall's food court covers all preferences including reliable South Indian and Pakistani options.

  5. 2:00pm–5:00pm

Dubai Mall (aquarium + mall exploration)

The ground-floor aquarium viewing window is free; the walk-through tunnel (paid, AED 100+ per person) is worth it for children who love marine life. The rest of the mall fills an afternoon in air-conditioned comfort — ice rink, VR experiences, and standard mall shopping.

  6. The Dubai Fountain performing on the Burj Khalifa Lake

Photo by Raimond Klavins on Unsplash

    6:00pm Can visit

    Dubai Fountain evening show

Free from the outdoor waterfront terrace. Shows at 6pm and 8pm on weekdays, more frequently on weekends.

  7. 7:30pm

Dinner at Dubai Mall or Souk Al Bahar

Family-friendly options at multiple price points along the mall waterfront. Souk Al Bahar's terrace restaurants have good Burj and fountain views if you want a memorable close to the day.

Day 4 — Palm Jumeirah + JBR Beach

  1. View across Palm Jumeirah, Dubai

Photo by Kevin JD on Unsplash

    9:30am (1 hr) Can visit

    Palm Jumeirah monorail & boardwalk

Take the Palm Monorail from the Gateway station (near the Atlantis end) for a ride out and back — children enjoy the elevated rail ride. Walk the crescent boardwalk for Gulf views and Atlantis photos.

  2. People on JBR Beach, Dubai

Photo by Marah Bashir on Unsplash

    11:00am–2:00pm

    JBR Beach

Dubai's best family-friendly public beach: wide, clean, lifeguards on duty, shallow entry near the shore. Go before 1pm to manage the heat (or wait until 5pm in summer). Changing facilities and beach showers available.

  3. 2:00pm

Lunch at The Walk at JBR

Wide range of options along the promenade — quick bites and sit-down restaurants. Good for picking up lunch before heading to the airport or returning to the hotel.
