Day 1 — Mandai Wildlife: Zoo & River Wonders
Singapore Zoo
Arrive at opening to see the animals most active before the midday heat — the Rainforest Kidzworld splash area and the free-ranging orangutans are highlights for younger kids. Book tickets online for a discount and to skip the entry queue.
Lunch at Mandai
Ah Meng Restaurant inside the Zoo, or one of the food kiosks between the Zoo and River Wonders — both parks share a food-and-rest zone, so there's no need to leave the Mandai precinct.
River Wonders: Giant Pandas & River Safari boat ride
Kai Kai and Jia Jia's home at the Giant Panda Forest is the park's biggest draw for kids — go early in this window before crowds build. The Amazon River Quest boat ride is a relaxed, low-effort way to see the park's river habitats without much walking.
Rest at hotel
A full day of walking in Mandai's heat is tiring for young kids — build in a proper rest block before deciding on the optional Night Safari.
Night Safari (optional add-on)
A genuinely different experience from the daytime zoo — nocturnal animals on a tram or walking trail in near-darkness. It's a late night for younger children, so treat it as optional rather than a must-do on top of an already full day; skip it if the kids are worn out and add an extra Gardens by the Bay morning instead.
Day 2 — Universal Studios Singapore
- Can visit
Universal Studios Singapore
Book timed-entry tickets online in advance, especially in school-holiday periods. It's a small park by global Universal standards — one day is genuinely enough, no need to plan a second day even for enthusiastic kids. Prioritize Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure and Puss In Boots' Giant Journey for younger children; Battlestar Galactica's roller coasters for older kids and teens.
Dinner on Sentosa
Casual options at Universal Studios' entrance area (Bayfront Avenue), or a short walk to VivoCity's food court back on the mainland if the kids want familiar options.
Return to hotel
A genuinely full day — keep the evening low-key after Universal Studios.
Day 3 — S.E.A. Aquarium & Sentosa Beaches
S.E.A. Aquarium
One of the largest aquariums in the world by viewing-panel size — the Open Ocean habitat's floor-to-ceiling panel is the highlight. Go in the morning before Sentosa's day-trippers arrive; it gets noticeably busier after lunch.
Lunch at Palawan Beach or Siloso Beach
Beachfront casual dining at either beach — Coastes at Siloso Beach is a reliable family-friendly option with direct beach access.
- Can avoid
Sentosa beaches: rest afternoon
Palawan Beach's shallow water and the suspension bridge to the small offshore islet are genuinely fun for kids, even though the sand is man-made and the beach won't feel like a tropical getaway. Treat this as a relaxed rest afternoon between the two big parks, not a beach holiday in itself.
Singapore Cable Car back to the mainland
Ride the cable car from Mount Faber or HarbourFront across to Sentosa (or back) for a genuinely good view over the harbour and coastline — a nice, low-effort way to end the day instead of the MRT/monorail.
Day 4 — Gardens by the Bay Morning & Departure
- Must visit
Gardens by the Bay: Cloud Forest & Flower Dome
An air-conditioned, indoor-friendly morning that's easy on tired legs after three big park days — the misty Cloud Forest mountain is genuinely engaging for kids, and it's a good lighter close to the trip.
Departure prep
Allow 45–60 minutes to Changi Airport by MRT or Grab; build in extra time if traveling with young kids and strollers.
